Hanmer Springs Bowling Club had their official opening over the weekend and what a wonderful occasion it was!

We are so thrilled to welcome them as the 55th affiliated club with Bowls Canterbury. Mayor of Hurunui, Marie Black, had the honor of cutting the ribbon.

The new TigerTurf New Zealand green was looking spectacular and the atmosphere was fantastic, with a great turn out from the community.

The invitational tournament on Sunday was a huge success, with each team including a non-bowling member from the Hanmer Springs community.

Thanks to all who have worked so hard to make this happen! We look forward to a roll-up next time we’re up in Hanmer Springs.
