Bowls New Zealand has established an Open Disability category which is being played at the same time at the Somerset National Singles and Pairs. Bowls Canterbury supports this initiative and is holding an Open Disability Pairs Bowls Tournament. following the new regulations to be held on Sunday 4 December at the Centre Green. We welcomeanyone with a disability that affects their bowling with the opportunity to enter. Under Bowls Zealand eligibility regulations, any individual who has any of the following can enter the Open Disability events. There are no age or gender restrictions.

The tournament will be from 10 am -2 pm and the length of the games will depend on entry numbers. The capacity of entry numbers is 64 individuals so please fill out the entry form and get them back to me as soon as you can! Entries close on Friday 25 November at 5 pm. Players are to enter as singles players, and we will randomly create pairs teams together. This will ensure everyone will be included and meet new people.

The BBQ will be fired up, and music will be pumping throughout the tournament and hopefully, the sun will be shining! We are really excited about this and think it will a very fun day. We are also still seeking sponsorship to run the tournament and for a few spot prizes so if you have any connections who would like to support this tournament please let us know.
