Canterbury Stars Shine at Multi Nations

Meg ParfittNews

Congratulations to our Canterbury players who represented New Zealand in the Blackjacks squad for the 2023 Multi-Nations played on the Gold Coast!

Teams from Australia, Queensland, Norfolk Island, Hong Kong, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand have been battling it out for gold, silver and bronze in what has proven to be an ideal precursor to the upcoming World Bowls Championships in August.

The final day saw New Zealand walk away with six medals in total, with two being gold, two silver and two bronze.

The New Zealand women also came away with the Multi Nations Overall Women’s Trophy!

Congratulations also to our very own Bowls Canterbury alumni Emily Belton in her first official Bowls New Zealand High Performance Coach appointment!

We are so proud of all our Canterbury players who made the squad, some for their first ever Blackjacks cap!
