Today the Bowls Canterbury Board decided to withdraw our two teams from Bowls NZ Intercentre scheduled to start 17 March in Auckland.

This decision was not taken lightly and was done conjunction with our coaches and selectors. We believe the risks are too great to send our players and the support staff to Auckland especially as the daily in positive test numbers increase and they are predicted to peak at the end of March.

The health and safety of our players and support staff is paramount hence the decision.
