Earlier in the week on Tuesday and Wednesday, Papanui Club hosted the ColPhil Cup Over 60's Representative event.
It was a great two days and as well a the bowls being played, lots of laughs were had between the two teams too.
The event initiated between two stalwarts of the sport in their region; Colin Reynolds from Canterbury and Phil Cross from Southland - hence the name ColPhil; a combination of the two names.
Teams of six men and six women will play; pairs, triples and mixed fours over the two days.
This representative event is a highlight on the calander for both regions. Held alternatively between Christchurch and Invercargill each year.
Congratulations to the Canterbury team for retaining the ColPhil Cup.
