Annual Awards – Finalists Found

Yesterday the judges had the hard task of finding our finalists in the various categories for the annual Bowls Canterbury Prize Giving for the 2018/2019 season.

Thank you to Bowls Canterbury Board members; Brian Barker and Tony Fielding,  Bowls Canterbury Event Manager; Katie Griffiths, and independent judge; Lorraine McLeod and for their efforts on the judging panel.

A big thank you to all those who sent in nominations too. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Your Finalists for the 2018/19 season are as follows:

Young Player of the Year:

Volunteer of the Year:

  • Pam Clark (Burnside)
  • Raelene Peters (Canterbury 2017)

Official of the Year:

  • Rosemary Murray (Canterbury 2017)
  • Tom Hogg (Morrison Ave)

Club of the Year:

  • Elmwood Park Bowling Club
  • Morrison Ave Bowling Club
  • New Brighton Bowling Club

Administrator of the Year:

  • Barry Hollands (Bowls Papanui)
  • Brenda Turner (Burnside)
  • Roger Munro (Christchurch)
  • Sharon Wilson (Fendalton)

Greenkeeper of the Year:

  • Eric Allison (Belfast)
  • Stu Dalley (Christchurch & Halswell)
  • Terry Rossiter (Riccarton RC)
  • Terry Stewart (Fendalton)

Winners will be announced at the Awards evening on Saturday 25th May.
