2020-2021 Playing Programme – Updated

The updated 2020-2021 Playing Programme is now available to view online.

The updates to the final programme are as follows:

  • All Men’s, Women’s and Under 5’s Saturday pre Christmas Interclub competions will begin at 9.00am
  • Pre Christmas Interclub (Men’s 3×4 Pennants, Men’s 2×4 Pennants and Women’s 2×4 Pennants) Division 3 and below will now play seven rounds pre Christmas. The extra games will be played on Saturday 12 December and Saturday 19 December
  • The Combination 7’s have been removed from the programme
  • Regional Development Tournament confirmed dates – March 27th & 28th

The previous updates made from the draft programme are as follows:

  • Pre Christmas Interclub is five rounds
  • Mixed Pairs played on October 24th & 25th
  • Over 60’s Double Pairs played Monday 9.30am
  • Centre Women’s Singles section play on November 13th
  • Centre Men’s Singles section play on November 14th
  • Interclub Sevens post section on December 13tth
  • Centre Pairs section play on December 19th
  • Under 5’s Triples starts January 21st
  • Watson Shield starts January 23rd
  • Under 5’s Bowls3Five & Open Bowls3Five starts January 27th
  • Under 5’s Bowls3Five & Open Bowls3Five play two rounds every night, total of 14 games
  • Over 60’s Sevens played on Monday
  • Canterbury v Southland Over 60’s rep event played on February 2nd & 3rd
  • Regional Development Tournament played on February 6th & 7th (this is still TBC)
  • Doubleheaders removed from Post Christmas Saturday Interclub except Under 5’s Fours
  • COC 1st & 2nd Year Singles played on March 28th
  • Canterbury v Country Development rep event played February 14th
  • Midweek Interclub played over National Fours & Mixed Pairs
  • Centre Over 60’s Fours played on March 11th & 12th
  • Saturday Interclub played over National Intercentre (March 20th)
  • Watson Shield playoffs on March 27th

Previous Condition of Play updates:

  • No time limit on post section of Centre Mixed Pairs
  • Section winners and next best placed runner up to qualify for Interclub playoffs to fill any byes
  • Change Over 60’s Double Pairs to same conditions as Men’s & Women’s Double Pairs
  • Centre Over 60’s events play three games with no time limit (win 2 out of 3 to qualify)

Please note the proposed Centre Singles format will not be adopted, the previous season’s format will be played.
