Bowls Canterbury Conditions of Play

Conditions of Play 2023/24 - Updated 15th September

CoC Triples.

This has changed from 15 ends to 18 ends to bring it in line with the updated Bowls New Zealand CoC Conditions of Play. Unfortunately we were not advised of this change before the handbooks went to print.

Thanks for your understanding

Manning Cup
When this competition was reinstated it was agreed that it would go back to its old format used in previous years where the points are going on the percentage system.
Unfortunately we had a misprint in the handbook with the CoP from the AC eights being put in its place instead.

Please find below the correct CoP to pass on to your members.

Format of a side: Each team will comprise 8 players – 2 x fours teams – any combination of men and women

League Rules: Round robin of 7 games where possible, both teams to play on home and away basis as per draw – all games to be 18 ends – in the event of a draw a further end or ends will be played to determine a winner.

Bowls:  2 bowls each         Scoring: Shall be the total number of club wins against the total games played, expressed as a percentage.

If clubs should tie for first place then a playoff will be scheduled at a date and time that suit all teams involved. No player shall be permitted to play unless they have already participated in at least two rounds of the competition. If game points are equal at the expiry of time limit then aggregate (shot differential), then ends won to decide the winner.
