Open U5's Coaching

The Open U5’s Coaching programme is designed for any under 5’s player wanting pre-season coaching. This is a great opportunity for players of similar playing abilities to come together before the season starts. The programme will increase these players’ skills and knowledge of the game while giving them confidence as they head into the 2023/24 season. This year, year 1&2 players will be coached together and year 3-5 players will be coached together at a different venue.

The sessions are on Sunday 27 August and Sunday 10 September. You will be allocated a venue closer to the time. The cost this year is $30 which will cover both sessions and includes a law book.

To register, please fill out this form: Open U5 Coaching

Preferred payment is direct debit: ANZ Bank 06-0821-0628081-00
Please put your name and U5 Coaching in the reference.
Entries close on Sunday 13 August

Ever thought about becoming a Bowls coach?

Bowls Canterbury’s focus is getting more Lawn Bowl coaches in our Canterbury region. We have a very exciting opportunity for everyone with all coaching abilities. You may be starting from scratch or might be wanting to take your coaching skills further. Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June 2023, there will be a foundation, development and an update course run for anyone to participate.

Over the winter months in the "off-season", courses are held in various locations around New Zealand where the basics of bowls and the principles of coaching are taught followed by a mentoring programme to assist with the practicalities.
